Goodbyes & Thanks given to all the people that made him successful in his command the past two years!!

Scott asked the kids to join him up front & awarded each of our kiddo's with a framed "Army Brat" saying & ARMY Brat coin! The coins were engraved with their names. He said how his family & children were his biggest support and have made the greatest sacrifices for his successful command!! The kids were pumped to be included & it was the best moment in the 3 hour hail & farwell!!

Volunteer Award Ceremony Thursday October 29th

Last night our Squadron Commander LTC Benson honored 36 volunteers that have gone above & beyond the last 2 yrs to include the deployment. We were given a 1-10 coin and presented with the "Army Wives Seal"! It's been an honor to serve the families of 1-10 CAV & stand by my husband during his command!!

The highlight of my evening was being awarded the highest Volunteer Service Award in the Armor/Cavalry Branch! It's called the "Joan of Arc"!! I have Scott to thank for this seeing as I do the things I do because of him!!

Pumpkin Carving!!

The kids actually caved their pumpkins last Saturday when it was 82 degrees outside!!Since Sunday it's been super cold & snowy & around 30 degrees!! The pumpkins are frozen solid.

Colorado Foliage October 24th

As many of you know, Scott is my tree lover. So, when the kids see a pretty tree we have to stop & take a picture for dad. I have about 20 pictures of this tree. While I was taking the pictures Maci was singing the song..."Under a Shady Tree You & Me".

Pumpkin Shaped Pizza

WE all LOVE pizza. Our favorite pizza place Papa Murphy's Pizza offers pizza in shapes during certain holidays throughout the year. Maximus my Halloween freak was beside himself over his pizza. Seriously, all it had was a stem on the top. Excellent marketing, huh? I bought it!!

Marlena's Eagle Honor Roll Award Ceremony

We are super proud of Marlena!! She loves 7th grade & has terrific teachers this term. She has been busy challenging herself by taking advanced courses in History, Language Arts & Science. One of her favorite classes is Spanish & Art!! This semester she received a 4.0 GPA & that was with missing a week & a half of school to go to Disney World. She worked extra hard before we left for vacation & still had some make-up work when we returned. She's kickin butt & taking names!! WOO HOO!!!
